The WTO issue is an old one: the latest legislation is simply just another blatenet violation by the US. WTO has ruled against the US already on this matter, and now Antiqua is seeking for permissions from the WTO to redistribute US copyrighted material such as cds and dvds royalty free (found this ammusing, but the idea is to deliver some sting to the US economy for these violations). WTO is expected to pass a ruling on that shortly (shortly being months).

The US government has shown little (if any) concern: an economic super power against a tiny island economy... it would take the threat of sanctions from the east or europe for the US to give a damn about anything the WTO has to say...

The WTO criticizing the US is like the UN criticizing the US. It's a nice gesture, but since it's constituted and supported primarily by the US, it probably won't amount to anything.
