K's with A in the flop

Posted Mon Oct 23, 2006 2:33 pm GMT by MrDarling
Twice now I got K's in the SB..
First hand , button raise 3X - I reraise him 3.3X (10XBB) he calls.
A J x flop - I bet 3/4 pot , he calls. turn blank. I check , he bet the pot - I fold . He flips JTs

Second hand. In SB again, 5 limpers , I raise 7XBB get 2 callers. flop AJx 2 hearts. I bet the pot, both calls. turn blank. I bet a weak blocking bet ($.9 into a +$6 pot) considering to fold to resistance. Both call.
River a K - allin (half pot) sadly both fold!

So, any advice?

Avoid having 'set' ideas for this situation, the wise thing to do varies greatly vs different players. Having a set guideline will make overplay your kings or fold them when you shouldn't.
