If someone who'd never played poker told you they wanted to win a WSOP braclet, and they had all the time in the world to get great at the game, which game would you advise, and why (more skill involved then other games, more new players will be coming, less of a field to beat out, stuff like that)?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Horse. More skill than anoy other game, since it involves knowing 5 games! Plus the $25k buy in limits the field.

Absolutely. If you're competent enough to win a HORSE tournament, you should be able to win a limit Hold'em, Omaha-8, Stud, etc. tournament using the same set of skills... I hope that's not a cop-out answer.
To really have a shot at a bracelet you need to learn all the games because the NL Hold'em fields have gotten so big and so tough.

I kinda figured NL HE would be a bit of a stretch, seeing all the people playing now.

Too bad the other guys are so freakin' hard with pure experts that focus on JUST the "sidegames". If I were a gambling man, I'd put my best bet on a strong SNG specialist playing one of the $1500 speed nlhe tourneys.
