This is ridiculous!!! When I beging seeing sentences with words like "this will only affect US players" or "all non US Poker will continue as normal" I become angry. :x
"WE, THE PEOPLE" of the United States of America MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS Communist State of America!

Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

ty. Of the petitions: it can't hurt, but these 2 are a bit.... well I don't know that petitioning to make poker an 'olympic sport' or 'national sport' has anything to do with the issues.

oh kewl! i just noticed the blog button on your post. that's a nifty new feature as well! kudos! sharp looking blog system. that's no a phpBB hack is it? looks more like a seperate piece of software no?

Yes and no. lol.
Rather than reinvent the wheel, I modified and added on to the b2evo blogging scripts, and then integrated them with the phpbb user accounts. Then I wrote several mods for phpbb to bring it all together: even threw blog data into the user profiles. Came out pretty nice in the end. The blogs themselves will be available directly on THP here shortly and catch more attention: the thpblog domain will likely be closed down afterwards (the seperate blog/forum domain was for a different idea that has since fallen apart). I believe there are phpbb blog mods out there, but they were poor at best so I hooked that all up instead.
There's a handful of things I'ld like to hit on them still: mostly cosmetics but I'ld like to tie the forums search option to the blogs too, and the calendar table nav options of b2evo are poorly written so I'ld like to address them. Oh and I added on a pretty sweet peer run article rating feature, but nobody really ever uses it, so I'll probably disable it.
I havent posted to mine in ages, perhaps I should start again. Would be more of THP and state of poker, because I havent really been playing for awhile for the reasons suggested in my last blog post lol. 99% of time on computer now is working, not playing
We have several more features we plan to introduce to THP soon, and all will be integrated into the user accounts too. Going to bring out the community in THP more. That's the idea anyways lol.
