Just wanted to let you know that the WSOP execs claim this has actually been their policy for the past two years ... and yet somehow pokersites keep signing players up.
I don't think I'd worry too much about not getting a seat if you win it online. There are a lot of way they can get around it. I have a sneaky suspicion that sites were able to preregister players by using their .net names instead of .com names before. Or they could even just give players the forms and just make the deposit for them.
Either way... I must agree, the guy who attached the bill, Senator Bill Frist, really needs to have some sense knocked into him. (You can read more about how he got the bill passed here and if you want to actually take a step to do something about it, there's an online petition that you can sign if you're a U.S. citizen/resident HERE that will eventually be sent to various Senators and Congressman.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com
