"The World Series of Poker "Peer to Peer" Texas Hold'em gaming system will be designed to allow patrons to play poker on a wired or wireless device on a secure intranet server managed from within a casino in jurisdictions where it is legal to do so. A poker player will be able to play World Series of Poker "Peer to Peer" Texas Hold'em at a variety of locations within a casino, without the need to be physically located at a poker table. Players may be able to play within the casino property at a bar, restaurant, and even poolside."
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. This article confirms a privately held suspicion of mine, which is that the US gaming companies have all of the technology in place to roll out online poker just as soon as it becomes legal for them to do so. There is just too much money involved for them to ignore it.
My bet is to watch for lobbying to first expand the venues for this type of connectivity and then to open it wide. I worry, though, that States may have the ability to prohibit play, but a creative revenue-sharing plan should take care of this.

I just hope they can do it in a reasonable time frame if this is the route we are going. I can handle some downtime from Internet play, but if this is going to be a few year process....

Pinnacle is building a Casino right by my house. I'm on the last street before the riverfront. If they offer this I may be close enough to play from my house.
