do most rng's have a fairness factor built into them? You know, to level the playing field and keep everybody in the game.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

If by "fairness factor" you mean the cards are random, then yes they do.

Most RNGs are audited by internationally respect audit companies to ensure the card dealing is random. Any info regarding that should be readily available on any respected poker site.

After a nice run of cards, I sometimes feel like restrictor plates are then added to my game. I don't want to explain it further, somebody must understand what I'm talking about.

Yes, I think we do know now for sure what you meant. No there is no such thing as restictor plates, fairness settings or any of that type of thing. Good cards come and go and you cannot expect a good run of cards to last forever. Stay patient and good luck.

You mean, if a player keeps winning, does the computer stop you from winning for a while to compensate? No. Does a casino rig the deck when a player goes on a rush? Because the same thing happens there as well. All hands balance out in the long run.

It's called paranoia and you probably should avoid online poker if you suffer from it.

what's an rng? ring game?
Posted Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:58 pm GMT by Jefecaminador
its a run n go. Everybody runs around like they have their heads chopped off. The last person to collapse gets all the money.

After a really hot streak at the tables, I always email Lee Jones and have him put the governor back on my account so I can redistribute some, (all) of my ill gotten gains..

when too many people at the same table have the restrictor plates on their account, that when a lot of pots get chopped
that's why partypoker invented omaha hi-lo, because too many people with the restrictors complained

Partypoker Invented Omaha HI LO
someone should tell the Pokerplayers from my Grandfathers Genaration who played Omaha HI Lo and Stud back in WWII

My only beef with the "rng's" is the ammount of power hands it deals out..... i mean come on people how many unbelievable hands have you alone had? My bro and I both started playing online about a year ago to keep up a little practice when we wern't playing live. Between the two of us we have had 5 royal flush's, about 20 straight flushs, Lost count of quads.... boats out the ass....... some live players have played for their whole life and NEVER had a royal flush. I played one sit and go AA was dealt out 9 times in a 1 tbl 2.5hr tourney. Just last night my bro played a match 1 tbl sitngo before the blinds reached 100 3 ppl. were knocked out all in pre flop each time AA vs QQ...... how is that random?

Odds of being dealt AA: 1 in 221.
On a table of ten players, you should then expect to see someone holding AA in 1 of every 22 hands, on average.
How many hands do you play a night? Online play moves soo much faster than live play. This is why it seems that you see them more frequently.

This seems entirely reasonable.

Has anyone ever heard of a site EVER getting caught with rigged rng's? I just dont think the sites are that stupid.
Posted Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:46 am GMT by LeafsFan1122
I don't think it has ever happened.

About 70% of my play in online. I have had maybe 2 straight flushes online. I have had at least 7 straight flushes live. The casino is fixed.

1 site's RNG was "cracked" back in like 97 or something.
