short story- online tourney, low stakes but I've managed to keep afloat for over an hour with lousy cards. I'm getting frustrated because within the last 6 deals I get 5,2 off suit 3 different times. Out of frustration I chat: "next time I get 5,2 I'm gonna play 'em!" 2 hands later, guess what?... 5c,2d. So I take it as a message from God. I call the BB. Flop comes Ad, 3s, Js. Dude bets twice the BB. I say what the hell, it's from God right? and its only 10 bucks, so I call. Turn is 9s, he checks, I check. River brings me the wheel. I can't believe it. I push 'em all in, he calls. He beats me with the spade flush! I figured that was God's way of stickin it to me. Next Sunday I'll put a little more in the basket and try again.
