I played my first ever SNG tonight... And I won!
My wife doesn't understand, so I had to come here and share it with you guys.

Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Wow, you could retire undefeated with a ROI of 4 to 1, right... the greatest poker player EVAR!
J/K, congrats on your win!

Nice one, it's always a good feeling to get that first win.

congrats!
I remember my first win ($10+$1 turbo on PP)... and even though overall it's just one win.. and it's no where near as self-rewarding as winning an MTT.. i still remember it as if it was yesterday. I celebrated by getting myself a drink and i was bragging about it to all my friends.
When i look back, i realised it was over my bankroll (now i only do $5.50/$6.50 sng/mtt PS)
Hope your win is one of many.

Thanks, gents. It's small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, but you have to enjoy the small successes.
I wasn't really familiar with SNG's until coming here and reading some of the other posts. Now I find they're all I've been playing lately, instead of the ring games. I've played six so far and I've finished in the top three (and in the money) in three of them.
I'm still waiting to see if I'm on a run of luck, or if my style of play is better suited to the tourneys than to the limit games. Time will tell.

Congrades and keep playing good poker.... . As far as the wife thing goes...wait till a time when your setting together and flip on a poker show on the TV. Once she sees the dollars, flashy glit and glamore she will understand what winning a tournament can mean to you. I know my wife did and that was just after she watched a $1.5 mil. top prize WPT event.
She freaked when she saw the WSOP ME tournaments...lol.
