Check for double-billing if you use NETeller!

Nov. 1st, I deposited $182 in my Pokerstars account, using the Instacash method, from my Bank Account to my Pokerstars account.

Nov 6th, I checked my online banking and found they deducted $182 from by bank account, twice.

So I checked my NETeller account, and it's only listed once in my account activity. So I talk to Andrea on NETeller live chat, and she chalked it up to a 'processing error', and said the charge will be reversed within "a few days". She refused to credit my NETeller account on the spot, even though my bank has already paid them.

So I called my bank & disputed the charge; basically my bank will credit me the $182, and if NETeller does wind up refunding the duplicate charge as well, the extra $182 will go back to my bank.

So just a heads-up to anyone using NETeller, especially Instacash, check your statements regularly, and make sure you have records of all your transactions. If I didn't even talk to NETeller support, who knows if they would have eventually refunded me. It's "only" $182, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.

I got this from Neteller today.

Dear Jim,

NETELLER has more than 3 million customers worldwide, and you are among the TOP 1%. Your status gives you access to exclusive NETELLER services

Don't know what good it does me but Neteller has been no problem for me.

I've never had a problem with them either, other than them sending me 2 NETeller cards, each with different account numbers on them. After speaking with live chat, they informed me that one of the cards was no good and to destroy it. A little strange but nothing major. But now duplicate billing me and refusing to credit me on the spot, after my bank has already paid them, and it wasn't even my fault to begin with... what's really going on there? I've passed many thousands of dollars through NETeller, but this is starting to get me paranoid about working with some offshore business making a killing off us to begin with... Confused

Same here, I kept getting NSFs when depositing, even though I had more than sufficient funds in my bank account. The weird thing is it only started more than a year after I made my account. I decided not to bother with them anymore.
