i was playing a 18 man £16 sit n go six people left blinds are at 200 400
i have a stack of around 2500 folded round to me in the small blind a have A 6 i insta push the bb calls showing QQ but i hit a straight and take the pot.

now i start getting the usuall stick about been a luck box and how much of a donk i am, then he says i guess it pays to be stupid !
he had been a real loud mouth all tourny you know the type.

all the while im thinking he obv dosnt realise why i made my move so i checked out his stats. he had played 2000 sngos and was over 5k in the red !!!.

if its pays to be stupid this guy must be a millionaire !

now heres my dilemma do i point this out to him, the temptation to shut this guy up is great or do you just sit back keep quiet and smile and think jeez i hope your at my table alot more often. Laughing

I would say that you do NOT mention this to him. Never tell a person that they are horrible. They may realize you are right and stop playing (which you don't want to happen).

Set back...relax...take his words with a grain of salt and keep collecting his money. If you prove to the fish how he is stupid...he might possibly end up turning into a shark...or learn enough to become a smaller fish...thus taking away your poker profits.

With less then 7 bb left, it's a push every single time. Just don't bother waisting time arguing or thinking about what thwy say. They're just frustrated.

Sometimes I will needle people like this, but I would not mention if they are a losing player or point out what they did wrong.

Never do that, there is no point in scaring the fish away, but if he is 5k in the read and doesn't realise there is something wrong then he probably won't care anyway.

Just tell him you're new to poker and that you will play any hand with an ace in it.

i agree its best not to say anything. but it can be sooo tempting sometimes when they are been a complete dick.

by the way how can someone get so far in the red without realising there is something wrong with there game, do they actually like throwing there dollars away ?

not everyone plays poker for profit.

most, if not everyone on this site has an interest in developing their game, but there are a lot more poker players in the world who play to kill time or to relax etc.

to answer your question, i'd say keep quiet. you know he's crap, let him talk the talk, 'cause he obvioulsy can't walk the walk. i would go as far as making a note of his name and searching for him next time you play.

he's playing with a real negitive expectation keep it that way.
