tough decision

Hi Guys!

Would like to have some opinions on this Hand... happened yesterday... Freezeout Tourney NL HoldŽem

Blinds 100/250

IŽm in the small blind with about 9.000 (start with 8.000) with AcQs

2 limpers in middle position, both with about 7.000 left
The button limps too wth about 15.000

I raise it to 750 and the Big Blind folds, the limpers call

Flop comes 2c 3s 9s

I decided to make a continuation bet 3.000 and the middleposition guys folded... the button called.

This guys was playing like a maniac... raising all-in under the gun in the first level (100/100)... always swinging the "all-in" mace...
I put him on a flushdraw or a medium PP. The way he was playing, he would have reraised me all-in with top pair or an overpair, so I was pretty much done with the hand.

The turn comes 8s, and I check... A little sidenote: The guy was eating while playing the hand and had his head more in his pasta, than at the table... he checked, while he was taking a look at the board for just 2 seconds

River: Qd

I know I should have bet here, but afterwards one is always smarter... so I checked and he moved All-In

What would you do?

What could the guy possibly have? Was he slowplaying the flush? With A9 he would have raised the flop and the turn... could he have called with 66 or 77, what about TT or JJ... something smelled very very fishy there...

Would you call?

Based purely off stack sizes, there is too much in the pot for you to lay this down, especially with almost half your stack bet into the pot already.

Plus, you said he's playing like a maniac, so your hand is bound to be stronger than against a good player.

Given the situation, I think this is a no-brainer call.

A manaiac the cold call a preflop raise, then just calls the flop and just check the turn?
Either slow playing 2 pairs or a flush or just bluffing..
Having his head in the food and not interested in a big pot could also be a great tell of strength.

Tough decision.

So, you folded?

Yeah I folded...

Actually I felt like calling... the check on the turn meant for me in this situation that he either has Ace-flush (he wasnt afraid to give me a free card) or two napkins...

I forgot to write, that he suddenly stopped eating after going all in and sat there like a statue... I also had troubles looking at him very much because I was on seat one (he on ten)...

probably i was potcommited, but after reading many times that someone whos doing other things while playing a hand is hardly bluffing... the chicken came out and i folded...

the table was split up 5 minutes before the break and i asked him in the break... but he didnt tell... guess it must have been a bluff then...

Check check from you and push from a maniac who pushes all-in a lot , agree with Diamond completely on this one.

Yeah, I think he smelled your weakness and is pushing you off the hand. I would call here and cry when he turns over his flush.
