Do you enjoy tournaments or cash games more?

If you like tournaments, how many people is a good amount, rebuys, etc...

If you like cash games, how many people do you like playing against, at what stakes?

I really like tournament play. It seems a little more exciting, but once you are out its over. I am warming up to cash games $1/$2 NL. I pretty much win every time I play cash games in Atlantic City. It may not be as exciting for me, but I do like winning money Wink

I prefer playing cash games. I am not sure why but I do better in them. Also, according to most pro poker players cash games are the purest form of poker. Probably because you don't have to deal with the short stacks and bubble situations, etc.

i think most ppl will say there's more money in cash games... so if you're looking to make lots of $$... they're where you want to be.

i like trnys because their cheap and there's an end to them. since i'm not in it to make a living... i like SNG's and prefer 9 or 10 players to 6. they last an hour or so (assuming you make it to final 3) and are quite enjoyable.

i suppose it just depends on what you're looking to get out of it.

I like tourneys because there's a goal and an ending. With cash games I find myself getting bored with the repetition. In tourneys, people drop and blinds rise. Call me a poker player with ADHD!

Overall I vastly prefer cash games. However, with the right structure, I enjoy the occasional tournaments a lot. I like the concept of being able to make a modest investment for a chance at a big prize, which is one reason I enjoy satellites and rebuy tournaments more than others.

But overall, I prefer cash games, because you can often maximize the amount you can win from bad players. Even if they bust out, they can rebuy and you get another shot at their money. And the deepstack environment makes for much more sophisticated and interesting play.

I prefer cash games...erm...I don't know why, I just like the idea of what's in front of you being $$$, it makes it feel like poker.

I prefere tornys, but never have the time to go deep into them. Therefore i play cash games more as I can walk away if/when required.

I prefer cash by far. I do think HU SNG's can be pretty funny though.

Cash for actual income; tourny's for fun, variety, and a chance at a cheap score.

cash games is where its at for sure

however, theres no feeling better in poker then bleeding, sweating and crying for hours in a tournament and reaching some big momey... outlasting a big field and just making it..... you feel way better then just winning a big cash pot... at least in my opinion.
