Hi Scan ,
didn't want to hijack someone's thread, but I noticed you said a championship starts in Belgium next week.
Being in Belgium now I'm curious (though probably too busy and too bad to play in it) can you give me some info. Point me to a site (hopefully not in France. I manage to read dutch but France is a complete mystery to me)
How long does it take?
Entry fee?
Are there any side games going on?
etc..

I could be wrong here, but I think the entry last year was €200 or something. I also remember that it's two tourneys not one and that Scan final tabled both so that his average position was the highest rather than he actually won a single tourney. That is probably a greater achievement I think, although he was playing in the Belgian girls under 8s championship it must be remembered

Hey,
The tournament is 1000+100 euros for final and it's a 2 days tourney next week-end at the Casino de Spa.
300 entries this year and it's almost full (might already be).
on saturday 2 groups of 150 play at 1PM and 8PM until 75 from each are left.
Sunday starts at 2PM until there's only 1 left...it might take some time.
U get 3000TC,blinds start at 10/20 and last 30 mins and 45 on sunday

I bought my seat but am still playing a qualifier tomorrow 50+10 euros rebuy+add-on, 85 players...usually top 10 get a seat.
I bought the qualifier ticket in augustus or smthin because those 20 qualifiers got all full very very fast...and as the director told me that I might be too late to get a seat if I buy after the 21st novembre, I decided to pay the 1100 euros already.
I might be able to sell the seat if I do qualify...or at worse stake my roommate who is quite good...he placed 13th in the first heat last year but didnt play 2nd.
If I do qualify and wanna buy it from me just tell me MrDarling...I'll post the result tomoz in here :)

Thanks for the info Scan.
Am not sure I can make it next weekend, and beside, €1000 is a little steep for someone who never played live poker.
I've check the casino's site (pretty funny translations mistakes there) and couldn't find a poker room there, so I'm guessing there will not be an side games or the like.
If I manage to find some time would love to come and rail on you.

I forgot to answer that question :
there wont be any sidegame for the simple reason that Poker is still not allowed in casinos :)
They are allowed to run this tournament once a year, but that's all for the moment.
If you come over there just let me know we'll try to meet.
