Its a live 1-3 No Limit Hold Em Game.
A man in middle position opens with a $15 bet, a lady calls, and I raise to $45 in late position with Pocket Jacks. The man thinks about it for a few seconds and makes the call. Lady folds.
The flop comes 10 9 7 all diamonds
I have a Jack High Flush draw, Gut-Shot Straight Draw, and an Over Pair to the board.
The man is first to act and checks. The pot is over a $100 and I push about a $100 all in on the flop. My thought when I made the move was that I would be happy to take down the pot right there (Especially if he had a singleton A, K, Q of diamonds, pocket Queens or better, or a set. And I also wouldn't mind a call because I thought there was a high chance that I had a better made hand and if not, a hand that had a decent draw to make the best hand.
The guy makes the call with a set of 7's. The turn and river comes runner runner diamond (no pair on board) and I win with a jack high flush. So, my question is; did we both play our hand right, I felt like we both did. I just got luckier. What do you think?
