Fine. You would be happy to get all ur $$ in here on the flop. With him backing off, the bet on the turn is good and may win it for you and if you are called you have like a million outs.

Its odd but I was thinking the exact same thing. What if he does call here and the river is a total brick? Like an offsuit 2? What do I do on the river?

That's a tough one due to his remaining stack (which by the river will be less than the pot size so he might call with a marginal hand). Depends on what you knw about him. I think you might have to push anyway because his call smells more like a draw than a made hand (why would he call with the str8 on the turn with the FD out there?). It sux, but this is a spot where you probably have to continue semi-bluffing on the river with just a pair.
