Where do you like to play in Atlantic City (if you do) |

I only got the chance to play at Borgata, Harrah's, Caesar's, and the Taj.
I liked playing in the Borgata, because everything is newer and its just a really nice setup. They have a lot of tables also. I just don't like the crowd too much. Everyone seems a little stuck up, but that doesn't keep me away from playing their.
Harrah's so far is my other favorite place. The room is a lot smaller, but the people seem more friendly and willing to call anything. I have yet to play NL their, but the limit tables are nice.
Caesars is nice, but their is just something about it I don't like. I think one of the dealers was horrible the time I went heh.
I didn't like playing at the Taj at all. The poker room is large, but the chips looked really old and dirty, the seats were uncomfortable, the lights were really bright...

what is good about it? I heard from a few other people that it was a nice play as well.

Dealers are good. You generally don't have to wait too long for a seat. The comp system is decent too. Nothing spectacular, but you can get a meal out of it after a few sessions. And they spread 7.50/15 FL, or the "pink chip" game. That's always fun.
On the down side, the "higher" limit FL games can be sparse. 6/12 hasn't been spread in a while, and the 10/20 is usually one table full of regulars. If you want 1/2 NL though, it's hard to go wrong there.

No better place in AC than the trop for 1/2

IMO, AC is a disgusting, depressing place and I doubt I'll ever go back. If you're going to take a trip to play I'd go somewhere on the east coast I'd go with Foxwoods. The area is pretty and the people there are friendly. From my limited experience I'd say AC is filled with angry degenerates.
I played a lot at the Borg and Taj when I went. Out of those, I liked the Taj a little better. Everyone at the Borg has an attitude, which more than canceled out the nicer chips, cocktail waitresses and cocktail waitress attire.
Of course, if AC is a much shorter drive I'd just go there.

Trop. Hands down.

Trop. If you're a smoker, then it's Bally's.
Good room deals until the end of the year as well. I'm going down Monday night, only 50 bucks for a room.

I played Bally's last year and absolutely hated the experience. I'm a smoker and I still couldn't handle the smoke. The dealers didn't have a clue what was happening. There was collusion and table talk all over the place and no one said a word and their organization skills for getting tables and games together had much to be desired. I'll stick with the Trop when I go to AC. I have some friends who play Harrah's regularly and say they enjoy it nearly as much as the Trop.

Im guessing you can smoke at the tables at ballys?
I enjoy a smoke, but nothing like the usual chain smoker.
