It is illegal for a bank or cc company to make a deposit to any online poker or gambling site. If you can use a work around like neteller (provided they haven't gone soft) then you can still play online poker.

I found this list of states that supposedly ban online gambling. I'm a little skeptical since Nevada is on the list. I didn't think ANYTHING was illegal in Nevada. Very Happy

Illinois
Indiana
Louisiana
Michigan
Nevada
New Jersey
New York
Oregon
South Dakota
Washington
Wisconsin

Ah...what the hell?

At least four of those states allow live poker...that makes no sense.

Actually it makes all the sense in the world. The majority of the states listed have live poker as JC stated. The casinos have undoubtedly lobbied the respective state governments to ban online gambling in hopes of funnelling prospective degenerates to their casinos.

Actually, not true.
A few of the major casinos are the ones actually lobbying to get studies done on online gaming with the hopes it can eventually be regulated, so they can run online gambling sites as well, thus making even more money.
