Ok, so I flopped a boat. Pocket 4's , flop 488. At the moment am only behind 8's and 48.
Villain lead - So I let him. I put him on a 8 a 4 or a bluff (maybe high cards or even overs)
Was planing to raise him on the turn. But turn put 3 to the flush on the board, and I don't want to scare him away if he has an 8 (probably a bad move. I think most players will call a value bet with trips here)
Still thinking not much can scare me on the river.
How wrong was I :

I fold it most of the time.

easy but frustrating lay down
No reason to call and hope for a chop. If he's making a stone cold high-card bluff or betting a flush, just let him take it down.

Ugly, ugly, ugly river. TOugh, but you have to fold. I hate it when my boat gets counterfeited!

Valid, but with position I prefer to call the flop in this situation.
