NL $100. 6max on Full Tilt. No real reads. How do you think I played the hand? Preflop? Flop? Turn? River? On the river, what do you guys put the villain on here?

I would guess the villian mad his flush on the turn. Looks like you did what you could to get him off his hand.

PS After looking at the hand again K10 is also a possiblity.

Preflop, flop and turn all OK (although turn is iffy even with the remaining flush outs). River is horrible...you have second pair and that's it and there is no way based on how villain has played this hand that it is good. MUST fold on river.

You know I was thinking the same thing, but something about his hand just didn't make sense to me. I really wasn't calling on the turn because I had the flush draw. I was calling on the turn because I felt that I had the best hand. I am interested in what type of hand that you think that villain has? Something just didn't make sense to me. I think that if he hit his flush he would have checked to me and let me continue betting instead of betting out. Also I feel that he would have either led out with a K, check-raised, or check again on the turn once the flush card hits. Something just did not make sense to me for some reason. So, shorn, what hand (or range) would you put him on in this position?

I think likely holdings for villain are:

KQ, 44, Axh, JTh, J9h or (least likely) 77. I don't think he has just a random King, unless he had AK with the Ah (which isn't very likely either since he limped). I just think that the key here is that he called the flop, bet into you when the scare card hit, and then bet into you AGAIN on the river after you had called the turn defining that you had a decent made hand.

Unless this guy is a total maniac, I just don't see him bluffing twice on this board givne your actions. So, I think this is a clear fold.

What did he have?

Ummm.... he had QJ offsuit. I understand that it was a really thin calldown however there was something about his hand that just didn't make any sense to me for some reason (maybe I should fold in situations like that?). I am also guessing that I probably would not be right too many times in this situation to make this a profitable play?

Wow. What a donkey. Well, first things first. Every time you log on LOOK TO SIT DOWN WITH THIS GUY. That is just really horrible play.

But to answer your other question, against normal (and I guess I should start to use that word more lightly) competition, this is a -EV call most of the time.

More than likely. I guess I'm just lucky I was right this time.
