I was quite annoyed with titan today......
I won a satellite to there $250K tournament which was supposed to be tonight........
Direct entry was $540, so i was quite pleased with myself for getting in from a $20-something satellite.
I tried to log on 1 hour before the start......
I was told "can not connect to server"...blah blah blah
15 minutes before the tourney start I could still not get logged on!!!!
I sent emails and tried the telephone number (which kept hanging up upon answering).
2 mins after the start time, I try and log in.....SUCCESS!!!!!!!
I wait a few seconds to be automatically taken to my table........
Nothing happens...........
I start searching the scheduled tourneys......but can not see it on the list!
I connect to the online support chat, to be told it was cancelled due to technical problems.
Its strange that the technical problems are fixed just after the start time!!!!!!!
I find the changed time of the tourney, which is next week now, and see there was only 250 or so entrants
250 X 500 = $125K , half the $250K promised prize pool.
Have they decided enough people didnt enroll????
I think so.........even though the minimum for the tourney stated was 60 players.
I think its a scam!!!!!!!!!
And consider this.......1 weeks interest on $125K of other peoples money going into there bank account.
Let me know what you think, or even if you yourself were enrolled in this tourney.

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention I asked if i could cash out my $540 entrance fee, as I might not be able to play next week.........
I was told........"ohhh......you had better email support about that"
Which probably means tough luck if you cant play at the new date/time.

Jumping the gun on the "scam" proclomations aren't we? Wait and see what they do to rectify the situation first.

Dude...
The tournament was cancelled due to some difficulties on their end, and they gave you an entry into next weeks. They could have just said "tough sh.t, you didn't register".
So there's "only" 250 players currently signed up, for next week's tournament. I'm sure more players will sign up in the next few days. And if more don't sign up, I'm sure they wont "adjust" it to a 125k tournament. Any difference will likely come out of their pocket. So you'll have less players to beat, to win the same amount, which I personally would prefer.
And since they wouldn't agree to pay you the entry fee right then and there, and told you to email support, it's a scam? It isn't like you actually paid the full buy-in up front, and then wanted a refund once it got cancelled.
I agree with Tony, see what happens first before you continue making inflammatory accusations against them.

Also, make sure there is nothing in the fine print about needing a certain amount of players to start the tournament. Pacific often killed guar. prize pool tournaments if they didnt have enough people. It was stated right in the rules.

Sorry if I was a bit upset when I made the post.
Its just I had been looking forward to that tourney all week.
There was a minimum number of players, which they stated was 60, so with regards to the number of entrants, the tourney should have gone ahead.
That is one of the reason I got upset.........
Earlier in the day I checked, and when I saw that there was about 250, I thought that was great.........less competition.
It just wound me up that the technical problems where fixed a few minutes after the start time.
To be honest, Titan is my favourite poker room (I just made platinum in the VIP structure), and felt a little let down.
As for the comment about me not buying in for the full amount, the way I see satellites, is if you win a place, the combined money of the people in the satellite equals the buy in - so technically I won $540 which just happens to be in the form of a "token" for the tourney.
I truly believe if they change the time and date of the tourney I have the right to cash out this buy-in.
I will be playing in this tourney, but just dont like the fact that they suggest I may not be able to unregister.
