Best/Worst times for low blind NLHE at Texas-area casinos?

My wife and I are looking to play some 1$/2$ NLHE at either Oklahoma or Louisiana casinos soon and we are wondering when the best times and worst times to go are.

Are the end-of-year holidays a bad time? Will the poker rooms be empty?

Does the summer hold more fish because of tourists, or the winter?

Etc.
