No offense OP, but you're only about a 4:1 on the turn when you hit your set. That's like complaining about 88 losing to 55.

That's not the point. It's strange to me he was raising my huge bet on the turn, while he was still on draw, and it was very clear that I will not fold. It would be more logical to me that he just called to see the river.

Welcome to poker. Was this the first time someone beat you while you were ahead?

In my opinion, this is a horrible reraise. You're raising $.75 into a $4.75 pot. You're not going to get any draws out of this hand with that small a raise. I truly don't like the min-reraise at all unless you're holding the absolute nuts and your hand has no vulnerability and you're raising to build the pot without scaring anyone away. With this draw-heavy flop (flush and straight possibilities), you need to bet more here and kill the odds for them to chase.

You can't really complain about being drawn out on when you give your opponents odds to do so.

No, I'm fine. What does me asking if you're on coke have to do with me wanting some?

What does coke have to do with this thread?

Coke users are sometimes angry people. Your response to the thread seemed a little angry; thus, my comment. I was making a joke. Relax buddy.

lol alright, my bad I guess. Clearly my "do you want some" comment was just a joke as well.

Just for the record I don't do coke. Smile

Sorry for the misunderstanding man. We're cool now. Smile

I'm glad you don't do coke. Razz

Yeah good to clear things up. Also, to the OP, incase I may have come off as rude, I really didn't mean it like that - my apologies.

Well, I gave my opponents odds to chase on the flop, because I was somehow affraid that someone has already completed the draw. If so, I would be probably reraised. When the turn came, I was pretty sure I have the best hand (and had 10 outs to complete full house to beat eventual str8 or flush), so I bet hard then, and didn't give odds to call to chasers. If I raised much on the flop and was called, I wouldn't be able to do it again on the turn, because the pot would be already too large, larger than my chips remaining.
I didn't post this to complain, I just don't understand, why some players raise on draw like that. Is it possible he was thinking that I was (semi)bluffing? Or that I will fold to his raise?

Yes. I do think he was trying to get you to fold with his reraise. The only way you're calling here is with the hand that you have. I think he thought you may fold instead of commiting your entire stack. He had 8 outs to catch his hand in the off chance that you did call. Perhaps he thought you had AK and had missed and were trying to push him out of the pot? Tough to say without knowing how you and he had been playing prior to this hand.

Well, I think we actually didn't know each others playstyle. I seldom watch my opponents much, unless they behave in really strange way, because I mostly play multiple tables (4-6) and I have not much time for that. And he obviously didn't know me well too, because I would never throw such a money on bluff or semibluff bet.
I played with that player again and I think I took at least a big part of this money back.
