I've seen tons of Hold 'Em odds calculators available for download so you can use they while playing online or whatever. However, most of the time my friends and I play in real life. So I was wondering if its realistic to learn how to calculate these odds in your head. And, if it is realistic, does anyone know a website that explains this. I've done some research and I've come up with nothing but automatic calculators. Thanks.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Something that might get you on your way is counting your outs and multiply by 4 on the flop and 2 on the turn to get pretty close to your % of hitting.
That's the only trick I know for easy math.

Have a read of the 'Calculating Odds' section on this very website - I think you will find it very useful.
