Another NL buy in question

Posted Sun Dec 03, 2006 9:57 pm GMT by Det_Jimmy
I play mostly small stakes NL SNG's,but would like to venture into cash games more.I always buy in for the max.My question is though,if I lose some of my stack early,I like the table and am making the right calls,do I reload if I am not at the table max till I go over it?

For example:NL $10 $.02/.05 I buy in for $10.First hand I lose $.75.Should I reload ASAP?Or do I wait till half is gone?Do I keep reloading till i get over $10(if I like the table)?

All answers are appreciated in advance, and BTW,yes I am drunk Razz

Don't treat a cash game stake like a tournament buy-in. Reload.

Thank you much guys.I believe this has to be my major fault in a cash game.I will correct that problem now and I may learn to like cash games better. If not ,at least I'll have something to switch up with to make life less boring. So again thank you.

If failing to reload is your major fault in a cash game then damn son you must be friggen good.

Obviously when you get down near the bottom of your buy in its best to reload, but you're not missing out on much value if you have slightly less than the max. Don't expect this tweak to miraculously make you earn significantly more money.

I will generally re-load any time I get to less than 75% of my original buyin. I always want to have a large stack on the table to take advantage of when those two or three big hands a session come along.
