You play a totally live 3 flush, make a few small mistakes on 3rd, catch great on 4th and jam the pot but you can't make your flush even though you've got about a 45% chance or better to do so ...

Played well, but I cap 4th and maybe get a free card on 5th. Nothing you can do here. Equity through the roof and you just got screwed.

Regardless of how live your flush is, you have three babies which is not good if you have to stand a lot of heat which by the looks of it you have right there.
Coupled with the fact you have no straight or high pair potential, I am not sure if this is a clear cut call in ep.
I think you are faced with problems on 4th and that early call with the baby flush cards has lead you to what I think is a difficult decision.
First of all lets have a look at 4th and analyse the boards.
It's safe to say slyjeff should have aces, but although you caught your flush draw, notice the other two caught good too.
You know the players, but there might be a chance they are passive with their own flush draws, both caught good.
The problem I am looking at is the Qs outkicks us those times he has a FD and we both make it. We would need to catch an A or K of our suit, an unlikely probability, especially if slyjeff has our Ad in his hand.
Also, what the hell is repeek doing in the hand with a 4 up. Is it possible he is on a FD too?
If so this doesn't bode too well for your hand. As mentioned earlier, the lack of high cards is a big problem for us, and even more so now.
I don't know what this post is boiling down to exactly and I can't say if I would have found the fold button on 3rd or not, I usually make this sort of a decision depending on the table.
I guess what I am saying is that you seemed from your post that you automatically assumed if you make your flush it's automatically good here when there is actually quite a lot too look into.
I quite like hands like this. I actually enjoyed analysing that.
Post some more up please.

repeek is a total idiot ... ignore him
i agree with ya crack, 3rd street compounded into a hard 4th street problem, but it could've been worse
sly clearly's got the aces, in fact its a reason why i want to be in this hand because he isn't letting go of those anytime soon
I think why I ended up making that call on 3rd was a few reasons
1) no dead diamonds
2) I'm folding 4th if I don't catch a diamond
3) I know 1/2 players in a multiway pot will give me the implied odds to chase to the river with my flush assuming nobodys board gets horrendous
Looking at it some more 4th really wasn't horrible for me, I ended up getting 1 of the possible flush draws out and continued to build the pot with probably 35 - 40% equity.
