I have QJo in the BB, UTG+2 raises, folds to me I call.
Flop: 8 9 3
I check he bets I call getting 5.5:1
I have 4 clean outs to the nuts and overcards, figured I could make up a bet or two on the turn when I improve.
Turn: 7
I check he bets I raise.

Depends of course on the opponent - how wide is PFR range is, how often he will showdown (even with just Ace-high), etc.
I would usually just checkraised the flop / bet the turn. Checkraising the turn is a play I will use occasionally, but imho risks alot more than c/r the flop and essentially does the same thing.

I betting or raising at some point on the flop or turn vs. most players.
Another one to consider is calling the flop and donking the turn.
