what's villian history? bet big on big hands? Does he push at the river to steal? I put him on trips and pray not rockets. I'd push.....but I play awfull anyway. Let me know.....

I'll assume that since it's here in the forum rockets or A 10 were shown.

Villain is brand spankin' new to the table, so no info on him unfortunately.

Also just FYI he doesn't have rockets.

I think I call here.

I would have raised the turn I think, because if he is slowplaying trip aces he will likely pay you off anyway and it creates a bigger pot for the river bet.

Also, you are out of pos on the river and how it played out with your bet, you might find yourself winning a smaller pot on average.

I don't think AK is a possability because he should have raised PF, so it depends if he likes to limp with an AT or not.

A5 is very unlikely seeing as you hold 55 and he should raise with AA/KK/TT (TT not as much) after he has seen a few limpers come in.

I think the most likely range here is a suited A so I would push him all in.

If he is passive with those high cards like AT then that's a different story as well as if he doesn't value TT that highly if there has been a few limpers, but at these stakes you should be pushing this hand hard ad if you go broke you go broke in my opinion.

Yeah Crack you hit it pretty much on the nail.

He did end up having AT and I should have raised the turn.

I thought you should have raised the turn for info , though now that I think about it, should we ever fold this hand? There are 3 hands that beat us on this turn 2 of them should raise preflop. So we are only afraid of one hand. Betting the turn, especially after a checked flop could seems like a steal attempt. So we'd have to call his raise.

Betting for value is another story, we get any A or T to at least call if not raise - and I think c/r should have been used here. Not going broke with this hand is a bad move in my opinion.

Results-oriented thinking = bad. I usually go broke here by raising the turn and getting it all in on the river. Only hand that worries me is AT, and frequently he will not have that hand, and when he does, it's impossible to put him on exactly that.

i would of called too... i dont like raising the raiser on the river unless i know have him beat. meaning i've gotten a good read on him or this hand smelt fishing in a way.

You will only know you have him beat if you have the nuts and if you only raise him when you have the nuts, you are missing out on a lot of money. Like DC said, I go broke here.
