Going to Vegas for a few days, but ironically may not fit in a lot of Poker... if I do, any recommendations where to play?

It would be awesome if anyone knows where I can find some loose low-to-mid-stakes Omaha-8 or 7-Stud. But in general, where are the best places to play (Bellagio, Caesar's, Venetian, and Mirage are the casinos I usually hear about)?

My knowledge is very limited but I heard that the low limit 7CS game at the Mirage is absolutely laughable. I was talking to a guy last time I was there at a FLHE table and he'd just played a couple of hours of 7CS there and cleaned up because the quality of play was so low. He admitted that he only sat down for a change of pace and hadn't been playing 7CS long himself but that every fundamental mistake possible was being made at the table. If I knew how to play, I'd be in there like a shot. Nice room too which helps...........

Not sure about 7 stud.
The Orleans on Tropicana Ave has a loose 4/8 Omaha Hi-Lo game.

For NLHE, I recommend Caesars 2/5 game as it has no cap on the buy-in. Their 1/2 NL has a $500 cap, whereas most places with a 1/2 game have a $200 cap. Plenty of loose action at Caesars.

The Palms has a good 2/5 game with a $1000 cap.

The Wynn has no cap on any of their games, their 2/5 game is good and usually loose.

Bellagio has a $500 cap on their 2/5 NL game; $1000 cap on their 5/10 NL game. Usually some very good and solid players in their 5/10 NL game. Bellagio also has a loose 8/16 limit game as well.

Most NLHE players at the Mirage are pretty bad and will pay you off.

The MGM also has very loose games, their 1/2 NL has some pretty horrible players.

The Excaliber runs some 1/2/2 NL or some weird blind structure like that, I f*cking hate that game. Beginner/fish city, which is only good if you get hands that can actually hold up with multi way action.

The Luxor also has some weird 3 blind NL game, with a $50 cap on the buy in, again, some truly horrible horrible players.

Downtown, Binions and the Golden Nugget always run a 1/2 NL game with no cap. Some horrible players, and others that make a living playing there every day. Usually some action junkies there, but beware, some of those loose players are among the best I've ever seen, with bankrolls to match.

Overall, I recommend the Palms 2/5 and Caesars 2/5.
Hope this helps.

Well, didn't get a chance to play Poker, as I was only there for one FULL day, but I did see some notable faces when I walked by the Bellagio Poker Room: Jennifer Harman, David Williams, Minh Ly, Sean Sheikhan, and Chau Giang. That was pretty cool. Smile
