**disclaimer - I have no real idea what I am talking about

Hand 1 - I think we need to bet the river as well. The K is not a scare card to me. Am putting the guy on a draw or a smaller PP or just a pair. Sure could be he have a set - but in the long run, in these levels more often then not he wont have us beat and will call. So its +EV

Hand 2 - tough. Is he capable of calling with 89s? Are you drawing dead?
Is this the kind of spots where it is better to lay down 1 pair where the pot is still small? He is probably on a flush draw, maybe even with an OESD something like A8s is possible. Or, he already have a set.
I think, this is a spot where a fold is not a bad move.
Again, not sure.

Hand 3 - I like it.

Hand 4 - weird hand.
$4 in the flop - a blocking bet, I would over bet here. The pot was $5 when it got to you - $10 seems more like it.
The turn - I'm lost from here on.
Which hands will call your pre raise and both raises on the flop and wont have you beaten on that turn?
I might take a free river, but that might induce a river bluff.

Hand 1: Raise more preflop. I hate playing QQ out of position, so I want to make a big raise here to hopefully win it now. If not, I think the bigger raise defines your opponents hand better. Raise enough to give him less than the 8-1 he needs to call with small pair. I also bet the river here as played. He doesn't put you on a King since you bet both the flop and turn, so I think he calls you with a weaker hand (my guess is AT or JJ).

Hand 2: This is a read hand pure and simple. Obviously, thei isn't a really good flop for you, but he could be drawing. That being said, the lead, re-raise angle is a set/str8/two pair play most of the time. I think you are behind here, but I doubt I could fold getting aroundf 3-1.

Hand 3: Fine as played. All the $$ is going in anyway due to the stack sizes of the opponents, so I want to get it all in now and not give someone a cheap shot at an Ace to beat me. As an aside, I wouldn't show my hand afterwards...why did you choose to do that?

Hand 4: I check behind on the turn here. This saves you money when you are behind (and you don't care if anohter diamond comes since you have the nut blocker), prevents you from having to put in all your chips to a CR when you are behind (since I assume that by betting you were willing to call a push), and may induce him to bluff at the river if he is drawing and misses. Sometimes checking good hands on the turn wins us more money than betting does.

Hand 1 - Fine

Hand 2 - Could be beat here...nice pots odds but If I call I am not all that happy.

Hand 3 - Huge overbet pre flop , I would re riase less cos you want a customer right?

Hand 4 - I would check the turn, 2 calls with 2 diamonds on flop. I really dont bet the turn with 2 opponents, but I dont play this limit so I am prolly wrong. Just my thoughts.

Here's my thoughts on these ...

Hand 1 - I hate value betting and getting check/raised here. The king is a bit of a scare card because players will call fop bets with JK, QK, AK, etc. Looking back on it, probably a bit nittish not to at least give a value bet a shot.

Hand 2 - I'd rather not have put myself into a position to call the all-in here based on pot odds alone. Is flat-caling this flop an option? The problem I see with that is when the villain is drawing we let him draw for cheap, but if I raise and I'm beat, I'm getting 3-1 to call the all-in and I pretty much have to.

Hand 3 - Theres $8 of dead money in the pot. I thought I'd be up against JJ/QQ/KK/AA/AK here for the most part. I'm not folding pre-flop to AA and a big overbet may make my hand look scared preflop and get some action. I want my opponent to call, but re-raising to say $7-$9 isn't terrible different then just pushing. Side note: I think showing was an image thing ... I thought I had set this hand up nicely by being a bit LAGgy earlier on and I was mad I didn't get any action.

Hand 4 - Turn bet here is really what my issue with this hand was. Shorn and Ciso, I like your line of checking behind here. How big of a river bet can we call if we miss the flush? Fold if the board pairs?

This depends on a few things. How well do we know villain and how he plays? Does he know us and is he smart enough to put us on a hand? The key here is that you have position so you have a huge advantage in seeing what he would do. Frankly, given the stack sizes and the pot, it is likely that the bet will be substantial from him, pot sized or a little under. I think we have to call all bets here since we showed major weakness on the turn by checking. One other thing is that villain will most likely not overbet the pot on the river because he doesn't have the nuts (unless he really hates $$), so his bet size in all likelihood won't scare us out. Again, another benefit of checking behind because the combined turn and river streets are cheaper AND we get a cheaper chance to catch on the river if we are beat on the turn, so the combination is higher EV than betting the turn outright even if we will call a push.

Long winded answer, but bottom line I think we can call most sized bets on the river given the play of the hand so far.

Depends on texture of river card to be honest. I would proceed really cautiously simply cos theres 2 customers not 1 and really increases the likelihood of a one pair hand (albeit AA) being beat.
If it was 2c like what happened, I would call a reasonable bet if given good price. I know by checking turn they may sense weakness increase the chance they bluff river but they will play cautious too with more then one opponent.
