this hand sucked
5 minutes before this my AA lose in a preflop all-in against JJ when he rivered a set.
and in a cash game, i flopped a set of deuces against QQ, overpair, Q on the river.
then this happens, the guy had been talkin smack to me, saying shit like "save some money for when i all-in ya" so i rebought from 77 to 100 (though i started at the table with 50)
on he flop when he bet, i knew this ws gonna be the hand where he would pay me off, if i hit my hand. he lead out, has never done this before. pretty passive table, more calling then raising, especially him. i have rarely seen him bet, just call

Well, I woulda called here. Unless he has specifically 65, you at least split the pot. I think he is taking advantage of the 4 str8 on board and trying to scare you off. My giess is he has two pair as why would he push you in by overbetting if he wanted you to call? Smells fishy so I call here.

IMO you lost the minute you made it personal. I also call here most of the time.

i did think about him having a set, or two pair. he never lead out like this before... he rarely even bet. perhaps he even flopped the straight with 6-4. (yes he played nearly all his hands). perhaps he needs the nuts to bet out,.. perhaps something not as strong but still very strong like a set or two pair. maybe he had 7-6 for top pair and straight draw. or maybe just i want him to have had that
i just couldnt give him the satisfaction of actually busting me. (even though i mightve had him beat) the shame of calling here and him turning over a 6 would just be unbearable.... i decided to wait for some other opportunity
anyway.. three hours later he left the table with nothing and i was left standing with $175. he doubled me up when he raised pre-flop (first time id seen him do that) and i called with J-4 offsuit. flop came 8-4-2. i check-called. turn was a J. i check-raised my stack, he called. and i bet the remaining last $0.01 (due to the doyles room glitch) on the river that he called as well and mucked. he wasnt so talkative anymore.... i think tought this chump his lesson
