It isn't illegal for you to play online poker.

It is illegal for your bank/credit card to transfer funds to an online gambling site.

It isn't illegal for your bank to transfer money to an online intermediary such as NETeller or Firepay from which you can then forward money to an online poker site if you chose.

Some sites choose not to accept US clients.

Sites which do include; Pokerstars, FullTiltPoker, UltimateBet and Bodog

Just to add to the above, some states it is illegal I have no idea if NJ is one of them.

That said I do not think any states really enforce it, although thats just me talking.

Thanks for the replies, guys! After doing some searching, it seems that NJ is one of the sites that has "banned" online gambling (along with other states like New York, etc). Does this mean it's illegal for me to play?
