I was playing on Friday when a heated arguement arised. Pre-flop all players called, with option to player imediatley after dealer position. He re-raised. All other players folded. Even thought everyone else folded, he claims he has the right to see the flop because he bought it. Is this right? I have never seen it before.

I don't think there are any specific rules about that, unless the house rules specifically talk about it.
usually, once everybody fold, the hand is finished.
Of course, if its an home game, why not let him see the flop, as long as he shows his hand you all win. He gets what he wants and you get info about his raising requirement from the BB

This gets really boring, really fast.
By the way, your friend made up that rule. However some places allow ppl to see flops or next streets ("rabbit hunting") as a courtesy. I don't really recommend it because it slows down the game aloooooot. There are interesting meta-game discussions for letting people have a good time, see what they would have flopped, overplay bad cards, etc.

We had too much rabbit hunting going on in our home games a while back. To curb it we made a rule only straight flush draws got to rabbit hunt or you had to pay a certain $ amount that went to the house. Fixed it pretty fast.
