Yesterday I played a $20NL multi at party poker. I overplayed AK and KQ early and was down to 140TC. I doubled up 3 times and was back in the game in the 1st hour. At the end of the 2nd hour, I was up to 4700TC, just above the average and had the 2nd highest chips at my table with 200 left out of the original 1020 and 110 are in the money.
I am dealt Q 10 clubs on the button. The big stack w/ 7000TC raises the 300 big blind to 600. Everyone folds, I call the big blind calls all in w/ only 570.
Flop Q 9 6 rainbow. The big stack goes all in for 7000. I have doubled up from this guy 3 times and he calls or raises w/ anything, and goes all in w/ any pair. I knew that there was a GREAT chance that he only had a 9 or 6, or that I had him kicked w/ just a 10. He pushed me off some bigger pots w/ good hands by bleeding me out, but an all in was a sign that he had nothing.
I call-he turns over 3 5 diamonds-no diamonds on the table. Bluffing w/ 5 high, I AM GOLDEN, up to 10K in TC hands in the air!
Turn, 2, river 4. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE SHITTING ME! Runner runner for the straight off a stone cold bluff. I was and AM so ticked off. I knew that I had him, I was right, and he draws out.
He had only 100 to gain from the side pot, the other dude had an A, he had no reason risking his stack on that. Maybe I should have folded, but I had a great read on this guy, I had him beat, and I got bounced.

Ouch that does hurt Dave.  At least you had him read correctly and you made the right call. There's not much you can do when some idiot catches runner runner with 3 5o.
