If I am playing in a nine seater session at .50/1 dollar table. If i hit qq in the ep can somebody suggest an opening bet and if its reraised what should i do?

You do not want to play guessing game with over pair from EP - so raise, and raise big.
If you get reraise, then its depend. Sometimes just call, sometimes you'll need to raise again and sometimes you'll need to fold.
Its all table and players depended.
No offense, but if you ask such beginner questions, wouldn't it be better if you move to lower limits?

I considered saying something like this to Vortex’s previous post but then thought “Hey he can play any stakes he wants as long as he doesn’t complain about going bust” 
My advice would be to save a couple of buy-ins and invest in some literature.

I almost didn't write the above, thinking some of you guys who do play in those levels (I play in lower) wouldn't want me to advise people to go to lower levels.
I agree about poker books and a lot of cheap practice

This is a really hard question to answer and there's a bunch of reasons for it.
When a beginner starts playing poker there's a whoooole bunch of assumptions that seem to usually come along with them. The biggest ones are:
1. If live, keeping a straight face and hiding tells is key.
2. If live, staring into people's souls and reading their bluffs is key.
3. Live or online, that the preflop hands being chosen and "how much to bet with each" is key.
Sadly these are all pretty unimportant.
I'm still going to try to answer your question: I raise with QQ typically to about 3 to 6 times the big blind, plus another big blind or two for each person already limping in before me. If reraised, position, the person's playing history, stack sizes and my reputation all come into play - there's no right answer, and I've definitely folded, called and reraised with QQ many times.
You need a general source of knowledge about the game. Either spend a day rereading alooooot of the theory in the forums here, or just buy yourself a book on NL theory. The new sklansky one seems decent (I just got it and am starting it today), but there's others, too.

Thanks very much, I apologise if the question was basic. I have bought a few books and I have started to red them .One earlier post suggested I go to a nine seater which I did and came second in a few tourneys. So thanks for your help. I have a saying which is relevant to life " Just because the donkey carries the bricks , it does'nt make him the builder".
I appreciate the help and where ever you are in the world I wish you a happy new year and more importnatly lots of hours on the poker sites.

Not basic just too open. If I gave you a complete answer with supporting reasons such as pot odds and position I'd be typing for hours.
