I have a good idea why they call 7 2 offsuit a beer hand...I assume it's because it gives you time to get a beer but does anyone have the exact defintion?

If you win with a 2-7 off suite you had better make sure you buy a round!
I believe it is statistically the worst hand to have. Which is why the next round is on you if you play and then win with it.

It's correct, but if you're looking for interesting starting hands nicknames for a fun facts on the WPT shows I have a better one for you.
We all know KA is "Big Slick", but less people know of 69 as "Big Lick".

Ah but did you know that K2 is "Big Mick"? My apologies to my Irish friends I swear I didn't come up with it. The King with the smallest kicker. Or that a 7c 8c is a lady bug. The best I can tell on that one is the upside down 7 is L and 8 is B and the clubs... no clue.

69 as "Happy meal" is better suited for TV.....makes you think a bit more

I like the 69 Big Lick....when we move to he spice channel then all bets are off...as for 72 beer...I'm awaiting a call from a seasoned expert who just happens to do the commentary on our show...thanks for all the help..and keep em coming..we are always looking for interesting facts and lingo about poker to go out to commercial on...

being from cleveland we have dubbed the KJ the LeBron (king james)...we refer to 69 plainly as sex (black sex, interracial sex, etc)...gotta admit...im a big fan of the Q3 as SanFrancisco Busboy too
