Naturally I was cursed and criticized by several several players. I was the bigstack and I was playing TAG, so i figure opponent was the idiot to call me with just a pair.

No, it was a fine play. You are actually a slight favourite in the hand. (~52:48). You got the money in as a favourite and won. Nice hand sir.

I just couldn't believe people were saying that I was way behind, but maybe I give people too much credit.

I still hear people that are convinced a naked flush draw is 50/50 to come in. Don't give it any more thought.

With the fold equity you are getting from someone just c-betting a missed flop, or even laying down TP, your play is definitely +EV.

exactly what I was thinking. If he pushed and I called it's a coinflip, but with me pushing the possibility of him folding makes this move profitable.

Going all-in is +EV relative to folding. But is it +EV relative to calling?

that was a great place worst case he has The Ace high flush draw
i mean u got the Flush Draw+the OESD so that gives u six more outs

Calling an all-in is just a 50/50 gamble, but a call I probably still make to shake up my tight image.

I always find it funny when people are trying to justify their play ON THE TABLE!
I'll often say sorry when I out draw someone or out play someone for a hugh pot. But not if they steam. If they steam I either ignore them or help them steam a little (but in the most polite manner)
Lets face it, people who lose money always complain.

Seems fairly standard to me, there might be a bigger gain from calling on the flop pending on the opponent. Some people pay off when you hit, esp at these levels - pushing strong draws versus people like that generally yields close to 0EV situations whereas hitting can make a $$$.
Now, I don't know THIS guy's motives for calling but I really fail to see how his call was idiotic either, your large flop overbet is very typical for a semi-bluff hence he should prolly call even if he might be behind.

Shoving is definitely +EV, but passive loose callers it might be even higher EV to just call. They will pay you off even after you hit your draw (esp. the straight). Against tougher players shoving is certainly an indisputable play.

This is way beyond standard against most sorts of 'reasonable' opponent template.
This is one of those hands where you're virtually never in very bad shape, and virtually never in very good shape. If your rule of thumb in these spots is "Do anything you can to get all of your money in on the flop" you're pretty much spot on.
I don't even know if calling is right against most loose-passive types. Your money cards are all scary, and even if he'll usually pay you off with an overpair et al even when the flush card comes, it gives him way more incentive to fold than we want in those spots. And when we miss the turn, life tends to suck. Stack sizes seem right in line with making shoving the flop right here, against virtually everybody.
Suited: you forget, 0EV is a magical, legitimate, real boundary, and all we should care about. Duh.
