maybe he figured the guy for a Q as well and figured why bother raising and increasing the rake. silly not to raise pre-flop though.

An uncalled bet would be returned to him before the rake was taken surely?
Either way a bet which was called would outweigh the rake.

unless its a split pot dude.

I agree, Webby. Also, what are the odds of the other guy having a Q when you have two of them? And if he did, would he have chased that rummer runner the whole way?
Posted Tue Jan 09, 2007 2:17 pm GMT by Miss_J
just an idea as to why he may have cold called. that's all.
and as for the thought of him chasing that runner runner,.... people do that crap all the time
Posted Tue Jan 09, 2007 2:18 pm GMT by TheSalche
When there's a split pot, you lose $0.5 - $1 more to lost rake ... when you win the pot/stack here you win upwards of $25
That means you only have to be right once every 3258232362 times this happens ... so its auto push.
But like I said these guys were idiots, the raiser was something like 76/3 over 80 hands and the caller was new, but was loose so far.

I have no doubt you enjoyed that table (and their money) immensely.

It is the only one that makes sense.
Heh, just reread my post...
| BeerWench13 wrote: | | And if he did, would he have chased that rummer runner the whole way? |
I think that's what they call a Freudian slip.

Unfortunately whenever I hit the donks tended to fold ... although I did get the caller to call a river bet when I flopped a set of queens and he turned a pair of fives ...
Posted Wed Jan 10, 2007 6:06 am GMT by MrDarling
I get those all the time.
I raise with AJ from LP, button calls flop bring an A and dude keeps calling my weak blocking bet to SD with AK.
also had a couple who called blocking bets with the str8 nut, a boat or 2 pairs.
Low levels are either calling stations or maniacs.
