it's a 10seater $0.10-$0.20 NL Hold'em table. I have no info on the other guy.

I'm in early position and get A-diamonds, Queen-hearts. I raise $0.80 and everyone folds but for the SB who calls.

The flop is 7AT all hearts
The SB checks, I bet half the pot. SB calls.

The turn is a 9 diamonds and the river is 7clubs. We both check it down and he shows A-spades, J-hearts.

Once he called my bet on the flop, i was unsure of his hand. Should i of bet bigger on the flop? Should i of pushed on the turn or river? or did i play it right????

Please help.

I like a 1/2 pot flop bet, maybe a bit more. I think I'd have made 1/3 to 1/2 pot bets on the turn and river. Top pair, decent kicker, 2nd nut draw... fairly good but vulnerable hand with room to improve... I'm thinking there's a good chance my hand is good plus I don't like villains drawing at me for free. I don't see any reason to push, I'd think you'll likely get called if you're beat and only if you're beat.

I think you have to bet the turn here and if he calls that, then you can check the river. Unless he holds AK with the K of hearts you are probably ahead on that board. And, if he has a flush already, he will let you know on the turn.

certainly not a push, so many hands you can be behind of.
I'll always bet the turn, sort of a blocking bet thats not small enough to be clear it so. If called I check behind the river.

Another $o.80 raise on the turn would have been your best move, heads up with aces u can be pretty sure that u have the highest pair, and it would like wise be safe to say that if he had the flush he would have reraised u. betting out on the turn would have sent him running. However checking on the turn after betting out on a flop like that is saying HEY i missed my flush and id like to see one more card for free to see if i hit it, he assumes his aces are good to your check so he decided to play it safe and check it out just incase your tryin to be sneeky with your flush. A bad move on his part as well checkin in his positon twice in a row and letting you see two cards for free would have givin u all the chances u needed if u where trying to draw out on him.
