The dreaded chip lead

Posted Wed Jan 17, 2007 6:56 pm GMT by mackkie
in the $8+.80 tourney at stars. im 1/71 remaining with ~62k in chips.

1164 entries, 1st place gets 2k.

I was in the top 25 pretty much the whole time until the hand right before the first break.
After the break i got 2 all ins infront of me and I picked up AA to triple up Smile

Hopefully the THP curse wont come to and and ill make the FT...we shall see.

Yuck, 32.60 for the crappy effort -- 35th place

Flop - KJ9 -- weak bet of 6k by villian
Turn - J -- I push to try to scare him outta a 27k pot

He flips over KK. I suck. Very Mad Confused

I dont understand why I would play so solid for 3.5 hours then donk it away, especially since ive played well all tourney.

heh the endurance gets the best of us all sometimes.

Just remember what happened on your next enduring tourny.

One rule I try to remember for myself, is not to bluff myself out of a tourney.
A substantial re-raise may have gotten you the same info, if he pushes back, you can still fold and live to play the AA you get dealt the next hand.
Push all in at the wrong time on a bluff, See ya.

tuff luck, but at least you were doin well.
Go get em again.
