Out of the lot you posted it's Hellmuth by a mile.

5 years ago I would have agreed with you, but I think other players have surpassed him, notably Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu. Plus, it would do a lot for Phil's credibility if he could beat a field of decent players for once.

Agreed.

I believe that Phil Helmuth's reputation has surpassed the man, and that fame has completely donked up his poker game. In the past couple years he hasn't done anything too fantasic, no WTP wins, embarassingly bad deepstack NL cash game skills. Obviously he can pay the bills, but compared to these guys I don't think he's got any shot at all. Especially Ciso.

Could it not just be the fact that with the boom of poker it has actually become harder to win one of the main events?

I may be wrong but 2006 he had a few money finishes, maybe a final table, I can't remember. Now that's good going in event with excess of 3000 people in them.

The more people the more variance.

Phil Hellmuth is one of the few pro's I watch that I'd honestly like to play in a cash game.

I guess me and crack were right.

Hellmuth is a legend.

11th bracelet win, totally deserved. Undoubtadly the best NL Holdem player on the face of the earth.
