So what hands do you put villain on?
seems to me like he just plain ol' bluffing.
Why would he push the river if he thinks hero has missed a draw?

First of all, the hand is totally unrealistic. I hate the last scene especially when the first one was done so well.
There are only 4 hands that he could have here (3 really) that he wouldn't slow down on the turn with...66, 77, or TT. But those don't make sense either because why bet $2k into a $400 pot on the flop with those monsters? You wouldn't.
Some people say AT or 76 as well, but even if he was on mega tilt, after the $2k was called on the flop, he has to wonder WTF Mike has. With either of those, he slows WAY down and bets small or checks. But, even those don't make sense on the river since Mike checked AGAIN after calling $4400 on the turn. Hello...76 and AT NO GOOD.
So basically there isn't a hnd in the deck that a good player like KGB would play this way.

There are threads, blogs, and entire pages on this hand scattered all over the web. Like most movies, it's best to take and react to situations as they're represented. If you start to over think them.... tends to ruin the flick. lol
A bluff? In his rant after the hand, he proclaims that all night check check check... here hero check called all the way down (aside from preflop raise to 2bb). Surely villan has to acknowledge hero likely made at the very least the pair of 6s and is drawing to improve... but even if he truely thinks heros on a draw, we're talking 8x or 9x where x likely = 6,7,T. Villan holding Tx or an overpair?
It gets confusing when the river drops and villan so confidently assumes that it couldnt have helped heros hand. The only hands that would allow the villan that confidence would be AA or AT. Would villan have played AA like that? Perhaps, our hero check called his straight till the end...
Will watch the vid again someday and make a hand history of the hand for a closer look at it, but heros check/call leaves little to read villans hand. Stabs at the pot followed by what would appear to be an over confident push on the river. AT, AA, or maybe a flopped set is all I can imagine giving him the brass to pull this off. imho

My guess is you mean Alfred Hitchcock's term for plot device, but I may be wrong if that isn't the original use of the term.
