Was planing a push, then villain beat me to it. All I have is the nut flush draw.
i think if anything, I should have only called so maybe someone else will join the pot.
Hated this push as soon as I made it.

Hand 2 - cash game. Even harder as I have TPTK Nut flush draw. Figure villain have at least 2 pair. was it the right call?

what about calling of the push in hand 1?

Firs thing, I think hero forgot to change his name at the end of hand 2 Laughing .

Hand 1- This really comes down to math at this point (disregarding tourney strategy which I am not really familiar with and I don't think it applies here either though). I'm going to guess that you have 12 clean outs (3 A, 9 diamonds). You may be ahead though as he could easily have a lower flush draw. So I don't mind a call. It is 653 for you to call to win 1453 (I believe???). You are getting just over 2.2:1 on your money so I think a call is fine since we are 2:1 to hit our flush (I believe? My math is horrible with these and I am not even sure if I am right??) Plus your Ace could be good here as he could have a hand like KQ or some one pair hand like that or he could have a flush draw and you are ahead.

Hand 2- I would probably check/call turn here. As played though, it is $5.80 to you to win $14.70. You are getting just over 2.5:1 on your money so a call is fine. I would expect you to have 12 outs (3 non spade T, 9 spades). It just comes down to math at this point. You are about 3:1 dog to hit here (I believe?) So it is a fold if you think you are behind. You can tweak it a bit so your Jack could be an out too if you think he has a lower two pair or something. Possible for him to have AT and he just picked up the straight draw? Also, I think I raise more on the flop.

Hope that made some sense and that it helps.

hand 1 is tough, i think stack sizes here are a bit more important than the math, since the math is so close. If you call and lose you're the shorty of the table and the blinds are pretty high. If you fold you're in the middle of the pack still and can play some push/fold poker into the monies. If you call and win you're still in 2nd place.

I think that lends itself towards folding, although there is a lot of dead money out there.

Hand 2 - i agree with aaron on the turn check call, i think you have to call because of the pot odds here, but i don't doing it much

btw - you should try to clean up your hand histories ... we don't care about the chat & how much money somebody added to their stack

Hand 1: Push is fine, and I can't really see much merit for folding. The blinds are large enough/stacks short enough that even the standard 'wait for a better spot' garbage is like, even worse garbage, and we don't see immediate benefits from folding.. unless like half the table magically busts out right now. There's not a hugh sic difference between pushing and calling given the situation, unless, say, a flat call entices a smaller flush draw to stick around, when he wouldn't otherwise. Hmm.

Hand 2: We're better than 2:1 against "two pair at least." We're getting even more favorable odds than that. Call, call, and call again. Counting outs doesn't work too well here, by the way: our # of outs changes a lot based on what he has. It's almost always > 12 though.

did you just do this instead of pressing backspace.

I think this was a subtle note to Mr. D.

Hand 1 - first after the PF raise I still had 30XBB - which is pretty normal to a start of an S&G. I hate calling without odds and chasing.
I think I would have preferred a call since lets face it, I'm drawing to the nuts. In this levels there are a lot of players who will call with garbage SS allin. So a call might entice someone else to call. So in fact there is no value in Pushing here.

Hand 2 - yeah, I guess its the right move. TPGK and the nut flush draw is huge hand. Sadly, its not that big against a set.
Is there any way we should give him credit for a set here?

Danny

on hand 2 u also have a gutshot needing a 10, adding 4 more outs.
