Now did I botch the betting here or did I just get outdrawn by a deadset and determined caller?
I think I have a tendancy to play nut straights wrong. What is the right way to play them with a rainbow flop ?

Not much you can do there. All you have to do is get the money in with the best hand, like you did, and you will come out ahead int he long run. You can't control the cards, so don't get mad when they don't go your way. Your only responsibility is to make good decisions.

Looks perfectly fine. You maybe could raise slightly more than just a little more than double his turn bet, but it all got in anyway and you were a huge favorite (92/8 roughly). Just a cooler on the river.

Had your man all set up and ready to go and the cards screwed ya.
I wouldn't give this a second thought.

Ok thanks everyone. I'm not quite a donk but every once in a while my inner donkness escapes and does something idiotic. Glad to hear this was not one of those instances.
