Speaking of Street Fighter, this could be the best match since Ken vs. Ryu. Razz

I knew there had to be a catch to the title; an admission like that is bigger news than the Kennedy assassination + moon landing.

Why will you not both accept that you can both play well and be done with it? You don't see Mika/Dave/Adam/other decent players getting petty with each other Confused

Geno-

Sometimes "unit" size goes with the territory. There are plenty of named pro's who do much stupider things all the time to see who has th bigger "unit". I have seen Matusow play 3 or 4 heads up SnG's for $5k or more where the players agree to both move in PF on the first hand regardless.

Anyway, I say let them go toe to toe. Makes for fun reading. Smile

Personally I don't care if Supa is better than Ciso or vise versa, does anyone else?

Is having a huge ass ego an important aspect of a sucsessful poker player?

Big ego > modest ego?

If asked to name the ten best poker players in the world, everyones list would be different. Poker skill to a degree is opinionated, biased and suggestive.

But it does make for good reading . . .

We played for maybe .... 7-8 hours total today. Probably the longest "duel" and the hardest fought HU of my life.

Posted Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:23 am GMT by MrDarling
I feel slightly responsible for this argument, as it was I who suggested this combat.

Though I was hoping we'd all get a chance to see great player dueling, did think it will come to this kind of fights though.

Nice of you guys to share the hands with the "Skill" in them..
Its actually all pretty HU standard - 2 pair against TPGK Nut flush draw, good move.
TP against over pair - standard.

So what did I learn from this so far?
Leave the roosters in the same room alone and blood will be drawn.

Posted Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:26 am GMT by supafrey
we played 1500 hands against each other today, all single tabled HU. There was a little more to it all than just pushing with TP Wink

That was a sick game eh Pav. We played for ages , with the momentum swinging both ways. Then it came down to that massive race situation for like $950 or something, my 7-7 vs his A-K. He hit a boat and won the match after that.

I dont want to leave in bad blood though, Cos this forum has been good to me, I aint leavin just cos of Pav either. I prolly acted a bit hastily last night giving the impression I wont post ever again, I will post any significant news regarding my poker "career" eg- big mtt wins. But I feel like I had been spending too much time posting which hasnt necessarily improved my game then actually playing lately , as you know its hard for my to stay focused all the time , and thp/irc can become another distraction from playing well if you will.

That 10-6 hand Pav, I held 8-5s , thinking back there was some sick poker being play. I remember one hand where you had like 4 bet me on A A K flop and I pushed with Q-6. Sick.

I had J-7 that hand and put you on no pair, figured my 3 bet could take it. I started to realize eventually that pushing may be my only real bluff tool because we both kept 4 betting so much =/

What is with you people?!

This is like Canseco challenging everyone to a home run derby and Roger Clemens asking him "OH YEAH I BET YOU CANT THROW HARDURR THAN ME."

Presumably , taking money out of your account is Supa's job Smile

I wasn't there, that day. I usually go like 2 days a week and I just got lucky. And it was robbed completely but nobody got shot or anything.
