99.3% favorite on the flop with 2 9 os.... ARRRRRRRG!

Im dealt 9 2 OS in the big blind in a Pot Limit game on royal vegas...its called around so i check.

Flop is a dream come true.... 9 9 2 !

I bet out and get like 4 callers... Im thinking to myself how great it will be to turn this losing stretch around.

Turn comes J

I bet out again, and i get 3 callers.

River comes J

f*ck!!!!! Get the sinking feeling that my unbeatable hand is now beat.... one guy bets big, another folds. I call since i cant put this down.

Sure enough i see A J and he takes it Sad

Sh*t like that happens all the time... especially with online players that don't know any better to fold a AJ (or any other face) no matter what.

I get beat with inferior hands nightly with bad calls...ya get used to it...kinda

Last night in a SNG (early - 8 remain)
I hold 33 on button, 4 limpers, I call preflop.
flop J3Q...one small bet 60TC from chip leader...I raise to 200, he re-raises to 300, I go all-in thinking he has AQ or KQ maybe... he calls....I fear he has JJ or QQ (I question my haste to go all-in), but no he has 77. Yes!
Of course a 7 comes on turn, and no miracle on river. I just can't believe some of the calls I see sometimes...crazy.

I just have to laugh at sometimes and scratch my head.

One thing I've noticed about crap players (particularly online) is that they become irrationally attached to a pocket pair, ANY pocket pair on ANY board.

If you play the cheaper SNGs it happens all the time - you raise pre flop, one guy calls, flop comes down raiser's flop (say AQT) and you make a big bet with your 2 pair, he calls, you worry that he was calling with 20 and hit the broadway straight, he flips over 77, you fall over laughing, the turn is a blank and the river kills you - lovely. He called despite 3 overcards and the pre flop raise suggesting strongly that you hit at least a pair.

On the other hand, you play the same hand the same way and over 90% of the time you win it....
