I got into this HU 5-1 favorite. I kept chipping away his chips and the guy kept coming back. Did I really play it badly or did he just have 9 lives.
We played 100 hands HU - in which I had always a 3-1 lead until the last 2 hands.

This guy was easy to read, every time he pushed and show he had a good hand (well, beside the Q high)
Should I've been more tight with calling his pushes. Or was it just destined to be?

the problem I see with consistently calling his pushes, is you are gambling to win vs doubling him up.
Sometimes I can see doing this but is seems you did it waaaay more than was necessary.
Why not fold some of these because all you have are mediocre draws at best and wait for a solid hand to knock him out with?

Seems to me here, with your chip lead, you don't need to gamble to win, play solid and it will take care of itself.
Thats my .025 cents

EDIT: I see you had some decent calls after looking back again on the HH but some were questionable IMHO. By doubling him up you risk allowing him back in. Keep him down, let him win small pots and nail him with strong hands when you get them.
