we played a game at the pub yesterday but there were some games where I wasn't sure of the hands so if any1 can tell me who wins in the following scenario's I would appreciate it very much
//first hand
the board: 8 6 k 8 A
player1: A J
player2: A 10:club:
who wins? I thought its was equal
//second hand
the board: 10 J Q J 9
player1: K 4
player2: K 2
who wins? I thought its was equal too
//third hand
the board: 10 6 9 9 7
player1: 7 8
player2: 8 4
who wins? again I thought its was equal too
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites.
We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

thank u!
This thread is all about this but I'll answer this specific ones below:
Hand 1 - SPLIT POT
Both players have AA88K - their J and T kickers are meaningless because the K on the board is higher than both.
Hand 2 - SPLIT POT
Both players have a straight which uses all 5 cards and all other cards are meaningless
Hand 3 - SPLIT POT
Per hand #2
