I started out well, then fell apart. What really pissed me off was that I took one of my worst bad beats ever and the guy didnt even seem to know what a miracle he hit. Sure he had the best hand preflop, but the rest was pure retardation.
8/16, button or cutoff, 3-4 players limp, one raises, so I figure we are looking at a 5-6 way raised pot, I call w/ 78 spades. Blind raises, raiser reraised, all call, 6 way capped pot (5 bets on the cap), so $240 preflop.
Flop 774 rainbow. Checked to 1st raiser, he bets, I think there is enough in the pot to now slowplay, especially if there are a couple of pocket pairs or a straight draw, I raise, 3-4 call, better calls. Turn K, checked to me, I bet, all call, 1st raiser check raises, I am thinking pocket Ks and call. All others fold. River K, he bets, I call. He shows A F*ING K for Ks full 7s. NOTHING on the flop, needs to go running Ks or running As to win. $400+ pot and I lose as a 99.4% favorite (ignoring the other hands).
He just laughs. I got pissed because he seemed to not know how truly thin he was drawing. Then he said that he knew that I had a 7. WHAT? I asked why he raised on the turn if I he knew I had trips? Well, I wanted to represent KK. Yeah, I am folding a $400 pot for $16 w/ trips. Idiot.
Later this hand happened and I knew I was a loser for the evening. Q9 hearts in BB, MP raised, 2 called, I called. Flop 10  8  5 . I bet, raiser raises, all fold, I call. Turn 5  , I check, he bets, I just dont believe him and check raise w/ my draw and representing a 5 in the blind. He calls. Hmm...... River I dont impove, a 2 or 3 I think, I figure he will make a crying call w/ a pocket pair, so I check and show Q high. He shows KQ clubs. WTF are you calling a check raise on the turn w/ that board and just 2 overs w/ one card to come. ACK....idiots.
Finally, I did make one donktastic play. BB w/ KJ, someone raised, flop 333. Someone bet, I called w/ 3 others. Turn Q, I decide to bet out, someone raised (some hot shot 20 year old that wouldnt shut up, even talking about how bad Cunningham played at the WSOP ME, sure, he makes a final table for a million plus by playing bad....please, you are the master).
Anyway, I need to save face and 3 bet, right? He makes it 4 bets and I call. River 3, now I know he doesnt play many 3s, and so I am sure he has a Q, only AQ has me beat, KQ we chop. I bet out and his jaw just drops. He calls and shows QJ. Since he was such a loud mouth, I say "how can you call the river w/ just a Q kicker". He tilts of the rest of his chips in 15 minutes.

Cant wait to go back to vegas in summer to play some decent stakes live instead of NL5 with mates =)

Speaking of donks, Canterbury is full of Einstiens compared to Vegas.
Let me know if and when you settle on a date for your trip. Maybe I can meet you out there.
