Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

The first $ amount is the buy-in for the tournament that goes directly to the prize pool. The second $ amount is the entry fee that the room charges for rake, etc.

A sit n go is a tournament that has a set number of slots available for players. Once all those slots fill up the tournament starts.
The buy in for sit n gos is made up of two parts. The first part is the amount of money you put into the prize pool. The second part is the fee that you pay to the site for hosting the sit n go. So say the buy in is 5 + .50. The 5$ goes to the pool of money that you could win. And the site takes 50 cents to make themselves win everytime.
